For some unknown reason, YouTube video embeds are not favorable in Firefox on my blog.  Sadness.

LC by Lauren Conrad

I finally had some time to stop by Kohl’s today to check out their LC by Lauren Conrad line.  I saw it on the Kohl’s website last week and found that I really liked most of the pieces.  While some of those pieces didn’t turn out when I went to try them on (you may find that the sizing for dresses is still a bit snug despite being more Young Contemporary than Junior; try your regular size and the size up), I did wind up buying two tops:

There are 3 colorways for the floral tunic (the above turq/beige combo, a blue/beige version, and red/beige version).  The sizing is pretty true to form (S/M/L/XL) for this top.  The cami came in the floral version above, as well as a white option.  The sizing is pretty generous for this piece - I wound up purchasing a size smaller because they didn’t have my size.

I’m not a fan of the ruffled skirts (not quite a style I would expect in a Young Contemporary line), but overall the dresses provide a good selection with cute floral prints and the tops are all super cute.  It’s currently running at 30% off in store, 30 - 40% online.  Direct link to the collection is here.

I MUST have these Omelle shoes.  They’re half off!  Won’t someone think of me?

And an updated bag, too.  Thank you.  :)

here comes Alice…

Hot Topic launched Alice merchandise in store and on their website right after Thanksgiving, and their assortment is ever-expanding leading up to the film’s release.

OPI nail lacquer developed a line of polishes inspired by the film with whimsical names: Mad as a Hatter (a silvery, sparkly polish), Absolutely Alice (a blue glittery, sparkly polish), Off With Her Red! (a flat red color, orange-toned), Thanks So Muchness (a pretty shimmery red).

Urban Decay has a color palette also with “topsy-turvy” names for their colors.  There’s 16 colors, 2 eyeliners, and a small version of their Primer Potion (I have the Sin version; I think I must be over-applying it because it looks pretty heavy on me).  Comes in a cool box that includes a pop-up scene from the film and mirror (yay for traveling!).

I cannot wait for this movie to come out!

if only i could draft such things

So Conan O’Brien issued a wonderfully drafted letter in response to NBC essentially screwing him over.  Oh, how the mighty have fallen; how long ago was NBC on top with shows like Friends and Seinfeld?  Maybe they should think about bringing over the Real Housewives from Bravo to boost ratings.  Those New Jersey housewives are AWESOME!

Jina at tiny sparkly things gave me a fantastic idea for a recurring post - things that I am not.  I think that’s pretty self explanatory.  So, to kick it off, what spurred the conversation:

“Jina, I am not about fruit snacks.”

ZOMG HILARITY

I love Hello Kitty.  I love Lady Gaga and her eccentricities.  So what do you get when you merge the two?  A fabulous photoshoot with Markus Klinko and Indrani.  Here’s the source for more.
